My Wish List and Resolutions

I needed to write this post to share my wish list and resolutions with everyone, as that is…
Season's Greetings

I needed to write this post to share my wish list and resolutions with everyone, as that is one way of conveying my feelings and reaffirming that I follow these resolutions!

My parents, and probably yours too, would always ask for my wish list and resolutions for Christmas and New Year, by asking me, “So, have you made your wish list, and what resolutions have you made for the coming year?”

My wish list and resolutions were never ending, and even though I never got all that I wished for, I remain grateful as it kept me wishing and dreaming harder to achieve those wishes and goals.

Singing carols, decorating the Christmas tree, hanging Mistletoe and wreaths, waiting for Santa Claus, exchanging gifts and cards; Christmas traditions surely do define the holiday experience.

With the festive season in full swing, we all have our holiday shopping and wrapping, gatherings, parties, dinners, outings, and our busy schedule on top of that to take care of. It does get a bit hectic at times.

The holidays are meant to be a time to be happy that we should share with our family and friends, where we give thanks for all we have, and wish each other well.

So here is my wish list that I wish for you, all my friends, and family-

“My wish isn’t to mean everything to everyone but something to someone.”

  • I wish that may all your dreams come true and you find what you are looking for in the coming year.
  • I wish you find joy, happiness, peace, contentment, patience, optimism, and love in your lives.
  • I wish for healthy friends and family.
  • I wish for new opportunities and relationships for my family, friends, and myself.
  • I wish that you let-go of your worries, fears, troubles, problems, and heartaches to embrace self-confidence and love into your life.
  • I wish that you live life to the fullest, taking each day as it comes, taking it as it were the last.
  • I wish you learn to believe in who and what you are, believe in yourself, as much as I do.

“Don’t wish it was easier; wish you were better. Don’t wish for less problems; wish for more skills. Don’t wish for less challenge; wish for more wisdom.” ~ Jim Rohn

These are my wishes for you for the coming year, and I hope and pray to the Almighty that they are fulfilled.

Coming to resolutions, they are made to be followed and express your deepest desire to accomplish something new and great in life. When you make resolutions, you are motivated to do something you have never done before.

Most people make resolutions to exercise more, lose weight, quit smoking and drinking, get a medical checkup done, or achieving unattainable goals, which they invariably give up as soon the first month starts! We fail when it comes to sticking to resolutions, so much so that most people swear never to make resolutions again!

So, I don’t want to make resolutions that I cannot keep, or try and aim for the sky! Instead, I plan making small resolutions by taking baby steps to accomplish them, which I know I will aim for and achieve before the next New Year.

“Always bear in mind that your own resolution to succeed is more important than any other.” – Abraham Lincoln

1- Spending more time with my family and friends

I guess most of us feel that we are spending less time with our families and friends, due to our never-ending tasks. I have been getting too involved with my blogs, clients, and other writing work, which has made me neglect my family and friends a great deal. I resolve to spend more time with them from the coming year.

2- Learning the art of time-management

Time-management is a major issue with most people, and no matter how hard we try, we do get caught up somewhere or the other. I need to juggle between my family and work for which I need to excel in the art of managing my time more efficiently. While I do try and manage to the best of my abilities, I think I can do better.

3- Making a plan easy to implement

We tend to work randomly or without planning anything in advance, which may lead us to work in a haphazard or disorganized manner. I resolve to be more decisive and organized by planning things well in advance, ensuring that they are achievable.

4- Lessening the time on social media

Most of us tend to overspend time on social media, which hinders our family and work causing family problems. I need to devote more time on my work and lesson the time spent on social networking sites, something I have been wanting to do but not got down to it yet. But that doesn’t mean neglecting my friends!

5- Completing my pending tasks

We all have a never ending to-do list that we try hard to accomplish, but due to various other reasons are not able to and keep procrastinating things. I resolve to complete all my pending tasks like completing my website and shifting my writing blog onto WordPress within the next year.

6- Enjoy life

Dance, sing, music, draw, paint, make merry, have fun, picnics, movies, outings, shopping and the never ending list of activities are all the things most of us love to do. But we get caught up with other tasks and commitments that stop us from enjoying these small moments of life. I resolve to take out some time to enjoy myself, alongside doing my work.

7- Learning to let-go, forgive, and forget

We all do have our ups and downs in life, but we need to let-go of the petty things that bring us down. We need to forgive and forget, no matter how hard it gets at times, and learn to move on in life. I resolve to not take things to heart, and become better by letting-go of things more easily.

“One resolution I have made, and try always to keep, is this:  To rise above the little things.”  ~John Burroughs

8- Accept and adjust

Sometimes it does get tough to accept and adjust to some things around us. If we want things to work, we need to accept them in the present state – as they are, and adjust to those surroundings. I resolve to accept and adjust better to people and surroundings.

9- Spread and share more love

We need to take out the time to spread and share the love and feelings with our near and dear ones. Most of us get so involved into our own lives and work that we often tend to forget about the feelings and love of others, which is the very basic necessity of life. I resolve to make more time for my husband, kids, parents, and family.

“Precious beyond price are good resolutions. Valuable beyond price are good feelings.” ~ H. R. Haweis

10- Taking out time for myself and become a better me!

Being a freelance writer is not easy. In-fact if you are a writer, managing your own business, working from home or your work place, blogger, entrepreneur, or simply working- where do you have the time for your own self? I guess I need to resolve to spend some quality time each day with and for my own self, and become a better person!

If you are a freelance writer like me, you may like to check out my last years post on 10 New Year resolutions for freelance writer’s that is ever-green!

So, that was my wish list and resolutions for the coming year. I would be trying my best to achieve my resolutions with an aim to bring about a better change in my life. Now that it’s out in the open, I know I will be determined and try my very best.

“It does not matter how slow you go so long as you do not stop.” ~ Confucius

May the spirit of this holiday season fill your heart with love, peace, and serenity. Wishing each one of you a Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year.

“Let this coming year be better than all the others. Vow to do some of the things you’ve always wanted to do but couldn’t find the time. Call up a forgotten friend. Drop an old grudge, and replace it with some pleasant memories. Vow not to make a promise you don’t think you can keep. Walk tall, and smile more. You’ll look ten years younger. Don’t be afraid to say, ‘I love you’. Say it again. They are the sweetest words in the world.” ~ Ann Landers.

What is your wish list and resolutions, if you have made any? How do you plan accomplishing your resolutions? Do share in the comments below.

*******************************************************************************************************

Due to the holiday season, there would be no more posts on the blog till the first week of January. As my father would be visiting us I would be on vacation and spending time with him and my family. So, we meet in the next year now, though I will be replying to comments and would be present on the social medias off and on!

  1. Hey Harleena!
That’s an excellent post! I truly appreciate your resolutions, as they are realistic and achievable. It’s true that many times we set resolutions that end up being unattainable, leading us to default to the resolution of “not making any resolutions.”

After reading your post, I’m inspired to incorporate some personal goals into my plans for the new year. I initially hadn’t considered including them, but now I see the value in doing so. Thank you for sharing your insights!

  2. I have always made up resolutions but was never the one to follow them. I hope I can make a resolution to follow my resolutions.

  3. Good day! This post couldn’t be written any better!

Reading through this post reminds me of my old room mate! He always kept chatting about this. I will forward this post to him. Pretty sure he will have a good read. Many thanks for sharing!

    1. Glad that you liked the post Queen!

Nice that the content of the post reminded you of your room mate. Surely, do forward it to him if you feel it’s something that he’d appreciate. I just thought of compiling my wish list and resolutions for the year, because once they are written we become countable and try our best to achieve those goals – isn’t it?

      Thanks for stopping by. 🙂

  4. Thanks for sharing Harleena!

Yes, I can identify with your desires to spend more time with family and lessen the time spent on social media and other work related activities when children are around — its an ongoing issue..all boils down to what is important and how we balance them..easier said than done…

    1. Glad you could resonate with the post Ntathu!

Yes indeed, there have been certain resolutions I have made to myself, and keeping my family right on top is one of them. And of course, that can only happen when I keep my time limited on the social media and chalk out the time spent on writing and other activities.

It is easier said than done, but if you know and recognize your priorities and are able to learn the art of time-management- everything IS possible. I have already started practicing it- so I know its working for me, and if it works for me, it can work for anyone:)

      Thanks for stopping-by. 🙂

  5. Love your goals for 2012 – how are you doing with them?

I understand the one about getting off of social media account – it is just so darn hard, but I am trying! I gotta still check in with everyone and see what everyone is up to…I cannot totally ignore that because I have so many wonderful friends that I have never met, so I need to check up with them – it’s the little side things that I have problems with 😉

Taking time off is a hard thing to do too….I am not too good at that, but I try to balance work with off time – meaning I work a little each day and do other things too – I am not sure it is the way to go – should just work a 5 day week and totally take off 2 days like everyone else, I guess?

Completing pending tasks – I have those too, but I finished a few and it makes you feel really good when that happens!!

Hope you have a fantastic year and I look forward to talking with you soon!
    Linda

    1. Glad you liked the post Linda!

Yes I did make those resolutions and goals and am slowly working on them, and keeping them right on top of my to-do tasks.

I still have to lessen my time on social media, though I have already started taking steps for that. But similar to what you mentioned, its indeed hard to ignore your friends or not visit their blogs and comment on their posts also. I guess we need to chalk out a time limit for the time spent on social media so that we can work on other things as well. 🙂

Yes that is one way most people work, though for me, I have to take off for a few hours during the day when I see to my family and kids! those do remain top priority for me, and then take out a set time for my freelance writing projects. I guess, I work best when I work with a disciplined time table that helps me accomplish all things within my time limit.

Thanks so much for sharing your experiences with the readers. 🙂

  6. This was fun! Reading about what others are planning to do and hoping to fulfill in the new year is always a motivation to do something better yourself!

For 2012, I didn’t have many resolutions but there was this one thing I was particular about. I wanted to read more. Last year, I had a terrible working hours to live up to so I had to cut back on reading excessively. This year I plan to make up for it! Also, I wish I travel some place this year! It’s been a long time since I had a vacation!

    1. Glad you enjoyed the post Hajra!

You are so right there- I think when you read about what others are planning to do you do get motivated to do something better yourself. But my goals and resolutions were mainly meant for my own self development and personal growth- more than for my business, though they are connected to each other indirectly also.

To gain more knowledge by reading is a great resolution, something that I also love doing when I visit so many other wonderful blogs- of course if time permits.

Do take a vacation as its a great way to get rejuvenated and restart afresh. You should add that as part of your resolution- to take frequent get-away breaks- so that you are reminded about it often.

Thanks so much for stopping-by. 🙂

  7. I think New Years should be a goal setters holiday. For all of us that love to set and accomplish goals, we should celebrate New Year’s for that reason. I have several resolutions that I intend on seeing come to fruition this year. I have very clear and specific goals for my finances, career, businesses, and relationships.

One of my resolutions that will help me get to my goals is to take even bigger actions. Its only the 12th day of the year and that approach is paying off handsomely in my career as I am being prepped by my boss for another promotion. I don’t know what the Mayans saw, but 2012 is going to be a great year! Happy New Year!

    1. Sorry for the late reply Ralph, for some reason your comment had been lying buried deep into my spam folder!

You are quite right about making New Year’s as your goal setter and aiming to achieve those goals all through the year. Nice to know that you have already chalked out specific goals for yourself and I wish you the best with those goals and resolutions.

Congratulations on your new promotion, guess that was the perfect gift for New year’s 🙂

      Thanks for stopping by 🙂

  8. Wow Harleena,

Your wish list is superb, frankly! I must say because you wish me all of these may you receive double of the blessings!

And about your resolutions, they resonate with me in many ways. #2, 9, 10 especially. I think time management is one thing I really need to work on. I’ve decided on 9 and 10 already as they are part of my plans for the year as I mentioned in my post reference below.

However, I must say that while you’re thinking of lessening your time on social media, I’m really thinking of increasing mine because right now I’m not doing much on that. I only hope that with a better time management strategy I’ll be able to make it work out.

    Thanks for the post.

    1. Glad you liked the wish list and resolutions Chadrack!

Thanks for your kind words and may all your wishes also come true! Yes indeed, the moment I read your goals and resolutions, I knew we had some things in common. And your goals were more realistic and related to our own personal development, before we proceed to other things.

Ah…social media! I DO need to reduce my time on it so that I can truly concentrate more on developing my website and shifting my writing blog onto WordPress, as I do fall short of time. But, I see that you want to increase your time on social media- though don’t really get in the flow like me!

Wishing you all the very best with your goals for 2012, and thanks so much for stopping-by. 🙂

  9. Hi Harleena,

I have actually read your post several times. I really like your list and focused on 7,8 and 9. Letting go and adjusting are sometimes challenging for me but the rewards of doing so are well worth it. I think that this is a very important message and something worth thinking about.

    1. Glad you could resonate with the post Jack!

Yes indeed, to let go, adjust, adapt, and change as per the surroundings and people are not easy things to do. However, if you are able to follow these simple things, you are much at peace with yourself.

Thanks so much for stopping-by. 🙂

  10. Harleena – That is a nice wish list you have there. Everything very simple yet nothing unobtainable.

As far as the resolutions go, you have them all lined up well and in good meaning. Hope you keep them up and at the end of the year, look back and see each one having striked off.

I dont make any resolutions, i never keep them for more than a week at the max, so no point.

    1. Glad you liked the wish list and resolutions Praveen!

Yes indeed, the resolutions are simple and straightforward, something that any one of us can work towards achieving. I do hope and pray I can achieve these, as I preferred not to mention the more professional ones that do require a dedicated and well-planned approach to accomplish! That I didn’t want to do till my blogs and website are fully complete- so may be next year 🙂

I will try my level best to achieve these goals and sit back and review them at the year end, and of course, get back to you to let you know how I did 🙂

I never used to make resolutions either, and thought of putting up the post just for the constant reminder of achieving them.

      Thanks for stopping-by. 🙂

  11. Harleena,

Nice post on your wish list and resolutions for the new year. For me, I have never believed in resolutions or wish list, so have none because I always believe life never work as per resolutions or wishes. In fact, these keep changing during course of whole year. But good to read about your resolutions and wish lists.
    BTW, nice blog.

    Thanx
    Maninder

    1. Welcome to the blog Maninder!

Glad you liked the wish list and resolutions. Yes indeed, life doesn’t always work the way we plan or want- but I guess when we do aim or plan a little- we are always better off. However, if you noticed I was careful not to talk about professional resolutions, and preferred to talk about achievable personal resolutions that I know I will achieve.

Thanks for liking the blog and stopping-by. 🙂

  12. Compared to your resolutions, mine suck! I hope you don’t mind I add yours to my list. 🙂 Good luck this year!

    1. Glad you liked the wish list and resolutions Robert!

I guess each one of us have our own resolutions to make and follow. Please do go ahead and add these resolutions if you feel they would be of any help.

Thanks for stopping-by, and wishing you you a happy and prosperous new year as well 🙂

  13. Oh wow, what a beautiful post Harleena.

I can see so much effort went into it. I really enjoyed reading it.

I hope you had a great festive season, Happy new year.

I have a new year resolution to have a more healthier lifestyle, and to perhaps start my own business venture. Hopefully it all works out, I’m very excited but nervous at the same time.

    Keep well.

    Rochelle.

    1. Glad you liked the post Rochelle!

I like your resolution as well to lead a healthier lifestyle- something that all of us need to follow as well. Wishing you luck with your own business venture and a wonderful happy and prosperous year ahead as well 🙂

      Thanks for stopping-by 🙂

  14. I knew you would have a beautiful list, Harleena!

I’m definitely on board with you for almost everything on your list, especially time management and lessening time on social media, which I’ve been thinking about a lot. In terms of taking time out for myself, I’m making the commitment to read more! I love reading and what a great excuse to use the Kindle that I received for Christmas. =) Even just 10 minutes a day would be so relaxing!

Wishing you the best of everything for this new year, friend! I’m so glad we’re in touch! =)

    1. Glad you liked the wish list and resolutions Samantha!

Ah…my time on social media is something I really need to work on as well, and once I lessen my time on it I would certainly be able to devote more time to writing 🙂 I guess this new year is going to help me change that aspect of mine! And am sure once that is done, the time would be managed wonderfully as well 🙂

Nice to learn about your resolutions about taking out more time for yourself and doing the things that you really want to do. Reading book is something that I love doing also, but rarely find the time for it. Guess even those 10 minutes you mentioned could be used. I think such hobbies and diversions are very important for our own personal growth and development as well.

Yes indeed, I am glad as well that we connected and are in touch. Wishing you all the very best in the coming year as well, and thanks so much for stopping-by and adding more value to the post 🙂

  15. Leena, aloha. What a wonderful list of resolutions and wishes. Thank you so much for your many good wishes which I wish for you as well.

This has been an amazing year for me this new things learned, experiences to treasure and, of course, the many incredible people I have met on the online world–especially the blogosphere. Bloggers are some of the most kind hearted, supported and committed people I have met. Leena, when I count my blessings, getting to know you is way up there. In the coming year, I look forward to deepening our relationship.

My wish for you in the coming year, Leena, is the realization of your dreams, the blessing of health and happiness in your heart. Hauoli Makahiki Hou. Janet

    1. Glad you liked the wish list and resolutions Janet!

Like I mentioned earlier, I really did want to write many more wishes for all the wonderful people I have come across- I guess I would have to make a new post for that now 🙂

Yes indeed, the past year has surely brought us together and connected us with so many wonderful people in the blogosphere as well. Hoping the new year is better than the past and we connect further with each other!

Thanks so much for your warm and kind words- I am indeed privileged and honored to have met you, and learn so much from you as well. Glad you stopped-by and adding so much more value to the post as well. Wishing you and yours a year full of love and happiness 🙂

Hauoli Makahiki Hou to you and yours as well Janet.( I am learning Hawaii now!) 🙂

  16. Harleena,

I wish you a great new year and that all of your wishes come true in 2012 🙂

    1. Thanks so much for your kind wishes Farouk!

Wishing you a wonderful and prosperous year ahead as well, and hoping your wishes are fulfilled as well 🙂

  17. Hi Harleena,

I’m liking your wish list and resolution post especially #7. 7- Learning to let-go, forgive, and forget. Sometimes without realizing that we are doing it we hold onto things that no longer serve us. It’s best to let go and let love as the old saying goes.

Take care and have an awesome 2012. 🙂

    1. Glad you liked the list Justin!

Yes indeed, learning to let-go, forgive and forget is easier said than done! However, if we do learn this art- we are much better off and it works wonders for our personal development as well.

Thanks so much for stopping-by, and have a wonderful Happy New year as well 🙂

  18. Hi Harleena,

Loved your very focused list for the new year. I am sure you will be able to achieve most of them if not all.

I love that Jim Rohn quote you featured here. He has always been one of my favourite speaker especially since his style is so mild mannered and humurous.

I should be writing out my own new year resolution and dream list too. In fact, I have and am glad that I have started the process of reviewing my own goals as well. So important to refocus and draw on more energy.

    Happy New Year

    1. Glad you liked the wish list and resolutions Jimmy!

Yes indeed, most of us make resolutions though are hardly able to follow them, unless we remain determined and dedicated towards them. I do hope and pray to be able to achieve them 🙂

Jim Rohn is one of my favorites as well, as his words really do mean a lot.

Ah…dream list- that would surely be an interesting read, and you can really add up a lot of things in that, which otherwise we may know we can’t really achieve 🙂

Thanks for stopping-by, and wishing you and yours a very Happy New Year as well 🙂

  19. Harleena,

What a great post. I really like your resolutions and those are ones that you can do and I am sure will accomplish. You are right so many times we make resolutions that we can not accomplish and by default our resolution becomes “not to make a resolution”.

Thank you for all of the New Year wishes for all of us. Those are all very nice and appreciated.

I am trying to make plans for the new year that I can keep. I had not intended on including ones on the more personal side but after reading you post I think I will put some of them in also.

Thank you for a great post and ideas.

    Dee Ann Rice

    1. Welcome to the blog Dee Ann!

Glad you liked the post and the resolutions. I fell short of words to fully express myself, but I guess they are the ones that I do aim to accomplish and they may relate to most of us as well.

Yes indeed, most of us make resolutions or aim for things that become tough to accomplish and achieve, which leads us to either leaving our resolutions unaccomplished mid-way, or breaking our resolutions.

I wish I could have wished for so much more for the New year for all my friends and readers, I guess I thought the post would become too long and had to stop by saying only a few words. Thanks for liking them. 🙂

We do make goals and plans based on our business or related to our blog and other fronts, but our own personal goals and achievements that are important for our own personal development are often left out. I am glad you thought about adding a few of those to your already existing wonderful goals.

Thanks so much for stopping-by. 🙂

  20. Really good post. I’m going to work more on accepting and adjusting. I’ve made some good progress in this area this year and am beginning to experience the power of doing so. It just makes life so much easier and fun.

    1. Welcome to the blog Hiten!

Glad you liked the post and could resonate with a few points. Yes indeed, accepting and adjusting is something we all need to learn to do in our lives. I guess it creates more peace and harmony within and around us, making our lives much more easier.

      Thanks for stopping-by. 🙂

    1. Thanks so much for your kind wishes, and a very Happy New Year to you and yours as well 🙂

  21. Hi Leena,

What a wonderful post! What you have written is about the things we all struggle to do-more time with family and friends, develop more self-love, do more of the things we enjoy personally, take time to show love to others.

Thank you for sharing with us, and I am going to be busy putting my things together as well. God Bless and keep you and your family this Holiday Season and in the year to come! Sally

    1. Glad you could resonate with the post Sally!

Yes indeed, I think you listed out all the things I wanted to convey through my resolutions. These are the very things we neglect and they hinder our personal growth in some way or the other. I guess we all do need to work to get better in these aspects also, besides resolving to make more money or aiming for other goals.

Thanks for stopping-by, and I wish you and yours Happy Holidays as well 🙂

  22. Really enjoyed this. Awesome list! I know that from writing down goals they do come true, with focused effort!

    1. Glad you enjoyed the wish list and resolutions Baker! Yes indeed, I guess when we pen them down we become accountable in some form or the other, and try our best to achieve those goals.

      Thanks for stopping-by. 🙂

  23. Very awesome post here, Harleena! 🙂

I loved each of the quotes you provided here; especially the one from John Rohn. I related to that one, the most. 🙂

Thank you for the wishes you also provided for your family and friends. That was very kind of you. I wish all of the same for you and yours in the coming New Year. You’ve provided me with a friendship that I will forever be grateful for; one that is not taken lightly, but cherished and respected.

I also loved your resolutions as well. While I will work to do better at all 10, I really hope to get better with time management in 2012. I’m not horrible with it now, but we should always aspire to do better than we did the previous year, wouldn’t you agree? 🙂

I don’t care to make resolutions either, but the ones you’ve provided here are certainly great ones to make. Thanks so much for sharing them with us.

Wishing you and yours a Happy Holidays !

Peace and continual blessings to you, my friend.

    1. Glad you could liked the post Deeone!

Yeah- John Rohn sure has some wonderful words for all of us, and they are full of deep meaning.

I wish I could have wished so much more for you and all of my friends, but then this post would have carried on and on! I had to literally stop myself from my making my wishes and resolutions longer than they already are!

Yes indeed, I too remain ever so grateful to the Almighty for your friendship and having been able to meet so many other wonderful bloggers in the blogosphere as well. It has indeed been a pleasure to be connected to all of you, and learn along the way.

Ah…my resolutions! I did not want to pen down things that I know would be tough to accomplish, instead wrote those that I know I can work and get better with. I guess what matters most at the end of the day is that you take small steps and have realistic and achievable aims.

Yes I do agree with you about trying to be and do better with time, and may the coming year be full of new hopes, aspirations, and ventures for you.

Thanks so much for adding more value to the post and sharing your views.

Happy Holidays to you as well dear friend. 🙂

  24. I have a wish list and to be honest they are 15 wishes on the list, but for Christmas there are just 8 wishes that would come true. But it is not bad I appreciate it….and my resolution is to plan great strategies and have many jobs to come.

    1. Glad you made your wish list and resolutions Fatima!

I guess as long as we make our wish lists and resolutions and have an aim, it does not matter how many we made or how many really came true. It is the journey to reach those goals that is more important than the end result.

      Thanks for stopping-by. 🙂

  25. What a lovely wish list and new year resolution!

Actually haven’t written mine but it is an inspiration to pick up my pen and write now. I love writing them down than typing them on the computer. All the best!

    1. Welcome to the blog Hesbon!

Glad you liked the wish list and New Year resolutions, as they were something I wanted to pen down since a long time, and this seemed the perfect time for doing so. Yes indeed, some people are more comfortable with the pen and paper than the computer. I guess at the end of the day all that matters is that you chalk out and aim to achieve your resolutions.

      Thanks for stopping-by. 🙂

  26. Hi Harleena,

What a wonderful list! Can I borrow yours? I’m serious, this year has been a blessed year for us. It hasn’t been perfect. Too many hospital visits with loved ones, but all ended well. But the success of the year has been measured in the happiness of my loved ones last year at this time versus this year and I would say we’re doing well.

One of the reasons I am happier this year is because of meeting so many incredible folks online, including you, Harleena! You truly brighten my day any time I visit and I thank you sincerely for that.

I hope you have a wonderful visit with your father and may the peace of the season be upon you and your family.

I look forward to 2012, Harleena and much continued joy for you!

    1. Feel free to borrow the wish list Carolyn!

Anything for friends- anytime 🙂 It would be wonderful if we could borrow and share things, it motivates and encourages each of us! Glad that the year is ending well for you, even though it hasn’t been perfect. I guess at the end of the day we all do remain ever so grateful to the Almighty for little mercies.

Ah…your kind words sure make my day and I am indeed privileged and honored to be counted among your friends. It has indeed been a wonderful association and I am glad to have met you online as well as so many other awesome people. Hoping to take this friendship well into the next year as well.

Thanks so much for your kind wishes Carolyn, as my dad reached safe and sound yesterday, and we are truly blessed to have him over with us. Wishing you and yours a wonderful and festive season, and looking forward to meeting you in 2012 once again. 🙂

  27. Harleena, you know that I wish you the exact same things 😀

Thanks for sharing your wishes and I hope that you reach your all goals before the end of 2012, and I wish you all the best in the new year.

Thanks for the post, I really like the quotes you shared too 🙂 and thanks for being part of my 2011 😀

    1. Ah…the wish list Faissal!

I had so many things on my mind and could have really gone on and on with a never ending wish-list- similar to Santa who carries a bag full of gifts that never finish. 🙂 But I had to limit myself and take care of the length of the post!

Glad you liked the quotes, as I love them as well and feel they add more meaning to a post.

Thanks so much for stopping-by and sharing your kind wishes. I am happy to be associated with you in this year, and nice to be a part of your next year as well.

Wishing you and yours a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year as well. 🙂

  28. Hi Harleena,

What an awesome wish list, and your resolutions too. I haven’t written mine yet, but I should probably just copy yours. 2012 is going to be a fantastic year, and I’m so eager to get started. I’m going to focus on writing when it comes to business, and be a lot more present when it comes to family and friends. So your list is perfect. I’m going to start my first business in 2012 🙂

    Merry Christmas Harleena.

    1. Glad you liked the wish list and resolutions Jens!

I guess it is actually this time of the year that all of us really sit down to think about what we have achieved, and what more needs to be done. And such wishes and resolutions are always a reminder to ourselves that we aim to achieve the set goals.

I have read all about your goals and am sure you are going to achieve them, as you are a determined person and would surely put in all your efforts. Wishing you all the very best for 2012.

And of course, you are most welcome to copy the list if you wish- it would indeed be wonderful if it can be shared, as we wish the same for each other and everyone.

Thanks for stopping-by, and wishing you and yours a wonderful Christmas and New Year. 🙂

  29. What a wonderful post Harleena. Just going over your list I have no doubt that you will accomplish every single one of them. Why you might ask? Because you have all your blogging buddies to remind you, that’s why. 🙂

Thank you for all these beautiful wishes for all of us. What a wonderful list and I for one am very blessed that I’ve had the opportunity to get to know you a little better these past several months. You are a bright light for sure and I so enjoy reading your posts.

Thank you for sharing this with us and I’m happy to hear you’re taking next week off. Spend it with your family and have a wonderful time.

Here is wishing you a Very Merry Christmas and the happiest New Year ever.

    God Bless,

    ~Adrienne

    1. Glad you liked the wish list and resolutions Adrienne!

Yes indeed, I would keep looking forward to wonderful reminders from all my blogging friends if I don’t do as I said I would. 🙂 I would be needing all your support and push to help me through- that is what friends are for- isn’t it?

I am honored as well to have met you, as it has been a pleasure to visit your blog for all the wonderful informational posts you share with all of us. It makes us keep coming for more 🙂

My dad just arrived and I am blessed to have him over with us, and as I knew he was going to be around, I did not want to be working while he was here- thus just taking off for a few days.

However, we meet next year, though I will try my level best to stay connected via comments or tweets. But if I can’t- hope you understand 🙂

Thanks for stopping-by, it is indeed a pleasure to have you over. Wishing you and yours a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year as well 🙂
