With the International Women’s Day coming up, how could I not write about the inspiring women bloggers of Aha!NOW.

The highlight of this Women’s Day is gender equality, achievement, and empowerment of women.

Talking of gender, men are the subsets of women. Are you intrigued as to know how and why?

Well, this is what Vinay pointed out to me, and it’s so true.

“Man” is a part of “woman”. Realistically, basically biologically, a man cannot exist without a woman.

If there were no women, there would be no men, as simple as that. Don’t tax your brain much on that to figure out how. 🙂

But isn’t it strange and so contradictory that men try to destroy and dominate the very source of their existence.

Being raised by a woman, this man represses the women. Why does he do that?

Is it because of some faulty bringing up or a sense of insecurity that mars the superego of a man?

It’s understood if gender inequality existed in the primitive or dark ages.

But are we still a retarded race living in the retro ages?

Women should receive equal opportunities and facilities as available to men to excel, achieve, and empower herself.

However, this is not possible as she receives stiff resistance from men.

Why can’t men tolerate progressive women? Why do women still find it difficult to make a place in the so-called a man’s world? Is it really a man’s world?

I apologize to all the good and understanding men reading this post for the harsh words I’ve used here.

Not all men are like that; however, do not have this misunderstanding that this is a typical social scenario of only the third world countries.

It might sound strange, but even the United States suffers from the problem of gender inequality.

According to this Wikipedia article, gender inequality in the United States continues to persist in many forms. I quote:

“It includes the disparity in women’s political representation and participation, occupational segregation, the gender pay gap, and the unequal distribution of household labor.”

I agree that the situation is worse in the developing and third world countries.

Some countries even put a ban and restrictions on women’s pursuit for achievement and empowerment.

This proves that money has nothing to do with being modern, rather its thoughts that matter, not the technology.

More money and advanced technology does not make a man modern and civilized. Am I right?

You may raise the standard of living and call yourself progressive, but if you reduce a women to a womb bearer and a cheap worker, that’s regressive.

It’s brutality, not civility.

“Wherever you find a great man, you will find a great mother or a great wife standing behind him — or so they used to say. It would be interesting to know how many great women have had great fathers and husbands behind them.” ~ Dorothy L. Sayers

To highlight the state of women around the world and the need of evolution of “mankind”, the International Women’s Day (IWD) is celebrated on March 8th every year.

The IWD theme for 2015 is celebrating women’s achievements and calling for greater equality.

The UN calls for empowering Women and empowering Humanity.

This is the day to inspire women to strive for excellence, even if the odds are against her. Excel, prove, and power yourself.

“The thing women have yet to learn is nobody gives you power. You just take it.” ~ Roseanne Barr

I want to play my part and create this awareness of gender equality, and motivate you all to make it happen!

I bring to you 10 inspiring women bloggers, who I came to know at Aha!NOW.
