7 Tips for Healthcare Marketing to Boost Your Traffic and Sales

If you want to increase your sales, you need to market your healthcare services. Here are some marketing strategies that can help you achieve your goals.

Social Media Marketing

This one should be fairly obvious, social media has become an amenity for nearly every adult in the modern world.

I can’t think of an easier way to start expanding your clientele than to promote your product/service on a platform that nearly everyone uses.

A great place to start your social media advertising is to create a Facebook page for whatever it is you’re trying to market, you can start by inviting your friends to spread the word and go from there!

Facebook is possibly the best social media platform for getting more patients as it’s now being used by nearly every age group – especially seniors who are more likely to need some sort of medical assistance.

If you already have one, great, the next step is going to be paid advertisement (if you can afford it) odds are that if you don’t invest a little bit, you’re going to be overlooked.

It’s crucial that your advertisements appear professional, concise, and well-written to ensure that you’re representing you or your company in a positive light.

If your product/service is on the “shadier” side, you may as well skip this tip since there are numerous restrictions on the healthcare industry on Facebook in order to protect its users.

Follow the example of sites like Mayo Clinic that make coherent advertisements that are well researched and invoke the feeling of a secure environment.

Design/Create a Website

If you don’t already have a website that functions as a sort of headquarters for your healthcare business or product, this is a must.

Selling your product/service through third party sites can work but you should still have a place where consumers can get first-hand information.

Write or Outsource Promotional Content

Now that you have a website, you’ll need to start filling it up with content.

You can make articles that describe and promote your product/service in detail or post reviews of other satisfied customers to help attract more patients.

You can also order promotional content to be posted on other websites to further expand your reach.

Consult/Hire an Expert

There are plenty of professionals that can be found online through third party sites like Fiverr who specialize in marketing your websites or optimizing its search engine results through a practice known as SEO (search engine optimization).

They will assist you in making your website & content “SEO Friendly” meaning that it will appear higher up in google search results and help build your sites’ “authority”.

Authority functions as a signal to search engines that show that your site has credibility, quality content and a secure browsing environment. All of which are sure to boost traffic on your website thus boosting your sales as a result.

Create Promotional Videos

While articles are great for raking in sales, having a video to accompany them will give users a visual example to work with – another bonus is that videos are more likely to keep the user’s attention.

Make Your Website Patient-Friendly

And perhaps most importantly, you’ll want to make sure that your site is created with the patient in mind.

Avoid littering your page with too many ads that may turn people off, include as many patient reviews as possible and of course – create a safe & secure environment for your potential customers.

Wrapping Up

Employing just a few of these strategies is sure to boost your traffic and sales, it’s my sincere hope that these tips prove useful in expanding your influence.

Remember to stay away from shady or “black hat” marketing techniques that may discredit your credibility or reputation.

There are more than enough ways to market yourself without stooping to such things.

  1. There’s a newly opened clinic in town called the ghost clinic since no one ever comes there and have themselves checked. I thought the person-in-charge might need some help, but I didn’t know until now that marketing could be done in the medical field too. It’s great that you talked about different tips, but the one I agree the most to is utilizing social media and using old patient reviews as testimonies that they give great services. That’s what the place lacked, I guess. I might advise them to look for an expert to help them out with the promotion next time I drop by.

In my opinion, One of the best reasons for your business to be marketing through social media is that your customers are spending time on these channels.

Another benefit of marketing through social media is that it helps you improve visibility, and thus increase recognition for your brand.

Your business social media profiles present new opportunities to share your content and really present your brand’s voice and personality.

Eventually, thanks for exploring these informative ideas for us.
